Essentially everything is energy yes, but I get asked this question almost on a weekly basis. ‘Emma I’ve been feeling low or depressed recently my vibe has really been knocked – will this hinder my manifestations?’ There is so much conflicting information out there which is why I feel people feel this confusion and fear when they do feel down. So this week I wanted to share my thoughts on this and whether your manifestations are affected by your vibes.
In traditional Law of Attraction teachings thinking negative thoughts or feeling down is often described as negative and the advice is change your thoughts, think positive and ignore what’s coming up. Focus on the good and good will manifest! While yes in part this is true I also feel this bypassing advice causes more harm than good. This is also known as spiritual bypassing when we ignore what’s coming up, suppress feelings and just think positive. The truth is those thoughts and feelings are messages from the soul and shouldn’t be ignored. When we allow ourselves to feel and acknowledge how we’re feeling it passes through us with ease and much quicker. I always remember at the beginning of my manifestation journey when following the old school teachings I would fixate on thinking positive and shout at my ego/inner child for being so persistant. It got worse and worse and louder and louder until I hit my limit and faced it head on. Instantly it lost it’s power and I realised it wasn’t some evil ego I needed to banish like so many people teach it was actually just a wound coming up to the surface to be healed and released.
When we face our funky vibes or thoughts head on they loose their power. We can then listen and take note of the real message behind this feeling and emotion then we reach the real reason of why we’re feeling a certain way. This then allows you to find acceptance and instantly you can feel shifted. Sounds simple right?
So what happens when you’ve felt funky for a while? Well, with everything going on in the world right now it’s no surprise after the last few years especially that we feel the highs and lows of life more potently. This is the Law of Polarity in action – the yin/yang, light/dark, masculine/feminine and summer/winter polarities in life. Polarities allow equilibrium and harmony to exist in the Universe, we need both to function and to experience balance. Just think if we didn’t know what a bad day was we’d never be able to fully appreciate what happiness or gratitude feels like. So see these funky days or periods as simply a season and this too shall pass. Just like the outer seasons in our world we all experience inner seasons also. So when we’re feeling funky or not quite ourselves for periods of time does this effect our vibe and manifestations?
As I mentioned earlier we have to allow ourselves to process and feel, doing this alone will help to raise your vibration naturally and quicker. It’s really important during these times that you’re looking after yourself and working on self-love/self-care each week to make sure your cup is full. Looking after your vibe is in your control but it’s also important to witness when you’re in your inner winter season and maybe honouring and allowing is the very best thing to do to raise your vibe. Remember you want to consistently move up the emotional scale and raise your vibe – we’re not here for quick wins or bursts as this will only come crashing back down. Feeling is healing and when you gradually and authentically move up the emotional scale it lasts.
Moving onto whether I believe depression, anxiety, low moods or energy can impact or hinder your manifestations – my answer is no. What is meant for you will never pass you by. Yes, your energy and focus may be directed onto different things but that doesn’t mean you’re sabotaging your desires. Maybe giving your attention to whatever is troubling you right now is the very thing you need to work on in order to manifest your desires. You will always be directed to where you need to be and the Universe isn’t as a black and white as old school teachings would like to make out. No your thoughts won’t instantaneously manifest and no fearing things don’t make them always manifest. What does manifest is your consistent vibration. We have around 60,000 – 80,000 thoughts a day of course not all of them manifest and the Universe does know what we do and don’t want. So give the Universe and your spirit team more credit – if it’s not meant to happen it won’t.
Knowing and embracing this myself set me free from so many blocks I’d placed on myself with this old school advice, yet embracing and honouring allows me to move through things much quicker and release whatever is coming up. So please don’t fear, the Universe is unconditional love remember so show yourself the same love and compassion when you don’t feel your high-vibe sparkly self. It’s impossible to feel high-vibe every single day, so allow yourself to be human, allow yourself to feel and allow yourself to learn what you need to in this season. Before you know it you’ll be back to feeling great and these current feelings will feel well in the past.
